Nurse Scheduler / Staffing Coordinator (Full-Time)
Pacific Coast Post Acute is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Nurse Scheduler / Staffing Coordinator to support our nursing department.
This role is critical in ensuring appropriate staffing coverage, maintaining accurate payroll and scheduling records, and supporting daily workforce operations to provide exceptional resident care.
Pay $21.00-$25.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:
Staffing & Scheduling
* Create and maintain nursing schedules to ensure adequate staffing coverage for all shifts.
* Coordinate coverage for call-offs, vacations, leaves of absence, and open shifts.
* Monitor staffing levels based on resident census, acuity, and facility needs.
* Respond promptly to staffing shortages and secure qualified coverage.
Payroll & Timekeeping
* Review, verify, and process employee timesheets for accuracy.
* Support staff with timekeeping questions and corrections.
* Confirm payroll information before submission to ensure accurate employee compensation.
* Calculate and monitor PPD staffing metrics and prepare reports as needed.
* Assist leadership with tracking labor hours and staffing trends.
Administrative Support
* Maintain accurate staffing, attendance, and scheduling records.
* Communicate schedule updates and staffing changes to employees and nursing leadership.
* Assist with scheduling and orientation for new hires.
* Provide clerical and administrative support related to staffing operations.
Compliance & Coordination
* Ensure staffing schedules meet facility policies, regulatory requirements, and staffing guidelines.
* Partner with nursing leadership to proactively address staffing needs.
* Track attendance, tardiness, and absenteeism.
* Maintain confidentiality of employee, payroll, and resident information.
Qualifications
* Previous staffing, scheduling, payroll, or healthcare administrative experience preferred.
* Skilled nursing or post-acute care experience is highly preferred.
* Knowledge of payroll processes, timekeeping systems, and staffing coordination.
* Experience calculating or monitoring staffing metrics such as PPD is a plus.
* Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and scheduling/timekeeping software.
* Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
