Warehouse Associate
Position Summary The Warehouse Associate is responsible for supporting warehouse operations through shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material handling activities.
This position ensures the accurate movement, storage, receipt, and shipment of materials while maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting production requirements.
The Warehouse Associate works closely with Purchasing, Production, and Shipping personnel to promote efficient warehouse operations and exceptional internal customer service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Receiving Receive, unload, unpack, and inspect incoming materials and shipments for accuracy and damage.
Verify received materials against packing slips, purchase orders, and shipping documentation.
Enter receiving information into the company information system using manual entry or handheld scanners.
Route accepted materials to Quality Control or designated storage locations.
Identify and report damaged shipments, shortages, or discrepancies to Purchasing or appropriate personnel.
Process returns merchandise authorizations (RMAs) and prepare materials for return shipments when required.
Shipping Pick, pack, label, and prepare customer orders for shipment using required handheld devices.Verify shipping documentation for completeness and accuracy.
Assist with loading outbound shipments while following company procedures and carrier requirements.
Prepare export or special shipment documentation as required.
Maintain shipping supplies and packaging materials.
Material Handling Transport raw materials, components, and finished goods throughout the facility using required handheld devices.Deliver materials to production, stockroom, mezzanine, office, and other designated locations.
Respond promptly to material requests from production personnel.
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely (when certified).
Assist with warehouse organization, shelving, housekeeping, and storage optimization.
Remove packaging materials, dispose of waste appropriately, and return reusable pallets.
Use of Epicor replenishment screen is required when refilling any items in the facility.
Inventory Support Store materials accurately using designated part numbers and warehouse locations.
Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and physical inventory activities.
Verify part numbers and locations and report discrepancies.
Monitor inventory levels for packaging and production supplies and communicate replenishment needs.
Assist with inventory transactions and maintain accurate warehouse documentation.
General Responsibilities Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
Follow all company safety policies and wear required PPE.
Cross-train in shipping, receiving, inventory, and material handling functions to support departmental needs.
