Summary:

The Maintenance Superintendent coordinates and supervises all mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance activities for equipment and machinery (Kilns, Mills, Crushers, Conveying systems, Heavy Mobile Equipment).

This position supervises the execution of Mechanical Projects (Opex or Capex) in coordination with the Project Team; The position exercises supervision over a large number of employees within the maintenance department (18 mechanics).

What you'll be contributing:



* Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.


* Establishes, communicates, and assigns job responsibilities, goals, and performance standards for employees within the Maintenance Department.


* Evaluates performance and recommend merit increases and promotions.


* Improves job performance through motivation, establishing goals, and providing feedback.


* Collaborates, coordinates, and reports progress with other personnel regarding maintenance projects and priorities.

Reports progress of maintenance projects.


* Review maintenance plans.

Schedule all the mechanical activities.

Supervise mechanical repairs and some preventive maintenance activities for the plant (Daily and Outage).


* Investigates and resolves unusual problems or difficulties in maintenance projects (troubleshooting).


* Recommends equipment modifications to plant management.


* Obtains, coordinates, and supervises the work of contractors.


* Meets with vendors regarding new maintenance equipment and other supplies needed for executing maintenance responsibilities and projects.


* Specifies engineering data and solicits competitive pricing on the purchase of major equipment and parts in coordination with the Project Team.


* Coordinates with storeroom personnel concerning the number of supplies and parts needed for maintenance activities.
