Security Associate, Risk and Compliance Services
This GPS Security role supports compliant personnel security processing for classified, CUI/Public Trust, and agency-sensitive programs under NISPOM, DCID/ICD, agency, and firm requirements.
The position manages timely clearance, Special/SCI access, and Public Trust suitability actions that help maintain regulatory compliance and enable secure government client delivery.
Success requires a detail-oriented, customer-focused team member who can apply security requirements accurately while supporting efficient shared services operations.
What You'll Do:
* Initiate, prepare, and submit required personnel security applications (initials, upgrades, and periodic reinvestigations) for access to National Security Information and Intelligence Community programs to include eApp, SF86, SF86C and other agency required paperwork
* Support GPS Security personnel security mission to include daily database entries, including but not limited to status checks in Scattered Castles and DISS; monitoring and queries associated with ensuring our cleared personnel databases are in synch with current employee status; notifications to newly cleared personnel; maintaining updated personnel security and suitability records, outgoing clearance certifications for classified visits; maintaining accurate and up-to-date records within internal database
* Acts as the quality control specialist for personnel security paperwork, ensuring all packages are accurately completed and ensuring any required/associated documentation is included.
Initiate, prepare and submit required personnel security applications (initial and periodic reinvestigations) for access to National Security Information/Intel/Special Access Programs
* Develop relationships and conduct ongoing follow-up, briefings and communications with engagement teams and government points of contact
* Prepare and complete visit authorization letters (VAL) for classified visit requests
* Provide support and input with Request for Proposal (RFP) response
* Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) access control
* Other duties and special projects as assigned
Qualifications:
Required:
* Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Secret Security clearance
* 1+ years of federal security, personnel security, or cyber security experience
* Strong computer skills - MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook; familiarity with security database operations
* Knowledge of government databases including DISS, NBIS, Scattered Castles, NCAISS, and NISS
* Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
* Must be willing to work a hybrid schedule onsite in Arlington, VA
Preferred:
* Bachelor's degree preferred
