Schedule: Day shift 6am-2 pm - Various schedule, Swing Shift 2pm-10pm - Various schedule

The caregiver's duties encompass a wide range of tasks, including assisting with activities of daily living, emotional support, housekeeping, and ensuring the resident's safety and well-being.

Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities

Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs):


* Personal Hygiene: Helping with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.


* Mobility Assistance: Supporting residents with walking, transferring, and using mobility aids.


* Meal Preparation: Assisting with setting up meals, cutting up food if needed, and removing trays from rooms.

Emotional Support and Companionship:


* Providing Emotional Support: Offering empathy, listening to residents, and providing encouragement.


* Companionship: Engaging in conversations, activities, and social interactions to combat loneliness and isolation.

Housekeeping:


* Maintaining a clean and safe environment, including laundry, cleaning, and tidying up.

Health Monitoring and Medical Advocacy:


* Observing residents for changes in health, reporting concerns to medical professionals, and monitoring vital signs.

Other:


* Answer resident calls for assistance timely.


* Maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe work environment for residents, staff, and visitors.


* Maintain confidentiality of resident information.


* Maintain a safe work environment.

Report safety concerns in the resident apartments to the supervisor.


* Assists with the orientation of new residents and staff when assigned.


* Perform other duties as assigned by the manager or supervisor.

Requirements:
Requirements and Qualifications


* Prefer experience as a Caregiver in a Memory Care Unit and or Assisted Living Facility.


* Must have the ability to obtain and maintain active CPR/First Aid Certification during employment.


* Must have the ability to obtain a Food Handler's Card.


* Experience in electronic medical records documentation.


* Must be 18 years or older.


* Friendly, attentive, and professional demeanor with residents and guests.


* A genuine desire to improve the quality of life for seniors.


* Create and uphold an atmosphere of warmth, patience, enthusiasm, and a calm and cheerful environment.
