Maintenance Technician

* Schedule: Full-Time (Rotating shift schedule and weekends as assigned)


* Pay Range: $25.00 – $34.00 per hour (commensurate with experience and technical skills)

About the Role

Join our team at the Theodore Cement Plant as a Maintenance Technician.

In this role, you will perform tasks associated with the repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems across our facility.

Key Responsibilities



* Perform maintenance tasks on mechanical systems throughout the facility.


* Assist with preventative maintenance, servicing, and lubricating equipment as required.


* Work alongside and provide oversight to contractor personnel.


* Participate in formal and on-the-job training programs, broadening technical and non-technical skills through cross-training activities.


* Work a rotating shift schedule, including assigned weekends.


* Maintain a strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work areas, promoting a culture of safety.


* Assist other departments and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

Required:


* Education: High School Diploma or GED.


* Experience: 2–4 years of industrial mechanical maintenance experience.


* Technical Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in mechanical troubleshooting, bearing repair, drive repair, equipment installation, lubrication, piping, rigging, welding/cutting, and fabrication.


* Computer Skills: Effective computer and systems skills.


* Travel: Minimal.

Preferred:


* 2-year technical college degree in a related technical field.


* 4–5 years of industrial chemical or heavy industrial maintenance experience.


* Valid Driver's License.

Safety & Physical Requirements:


* Candidates must adhere to all site safety protocols and proper use of approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including respirators.


* Employees required to wear respirators must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face to pass qualitative and quantitative fit testing.
