Role Summary

We are seeking a Cement Technician on behalf of our client to support industrial plant operations and maintenance.

In this multi-skilled position, you will perform essential equipment repairs, routine process inspections, and preventive maintenance across heavy industrial manufacturing facilities to maximize operational safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities


* Operational Safety: Practice and promote continuous risk assessment, utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and adhere to environmental and plant health policies.


* Plant Inspections: Conduct walk-by inspections and operational checklists across active processing units.


* Industrial Maintenance: Perform equipment installation, repair, alignment, rigging, cutting, welding, fitting, lubrication, hydraulics/pneumatics maintenance, and basic low-voltage electrical repairs.


* Mobile Equipment Operation: Operate light and medium plant mobile equipment as required for plant operations.


* Troubleshooting & Optimization: Diagnose mechanical breakdowns and optimize equipment performance during active operations.


* Documentation: Maintain maintenance records, plan task execution, and participate in continuous improvement team activities.

Required Qualifications:


* Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.


* Experience: 1+ years of experience in heavy manufacturing, industrial plant operations, or mechanical maintenance (or equivalent combination of technical education and vocational training).


* Work Schedule: Ability to work rotating shifts, evenings, or weekends as operationally required.

Preferred Qualifications:


* Prior experience in industrial mechanical maintenance, welding, or hydraulics.


* High mechanical aptitude and strong team-based collaboration skills.

Environmental & Physical Demands:


* Ability to work in industrial environments, including outdoors, at elevated heights, in warm temperatures, near water, in dusty conditions, and within confined spaces.


* Ability to adhere to all safety protocols and properly utilize approved PPE, including tight-fitting respirators where designated.


* Note: Candidates required to wear tight-fitting respirators must maintain a proper seal in compliance with safety standards.
