Cluster Maintenance Manager

voco Grand Central Hotel and Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel are looking for a Cluster Maintenance Manager to support our iconic Glasgow hotels!

We are looking for an experienced, organised and proactive Cluster Maintenance Manager to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis, working 40 hours per week, five days out of seven, including weekends and bank holidays in line with the operational needs of the business.

 

Reporting to the Director of Facilities, this hands-on leadership role will oversee the engineering and maintenance operations across both hotels.

You will lead and develop our engineering teams, creating a culture of safety, accountability and continuous improvement, whilst ensuring our hotels remain fully compliant, operationally efficient and maintained to the highest standards.

 

Working closely with the wider hotel leadership team, you will take ownership of statutory compliance, planned preventative maintenance programmes, contractor management, capital projects and engineering best practice, ensuring both hotels continue to deliver exceptional experience for our guests and colleagues.

 

What you'll be doing

As our Cluster Maintenance Manager, you will:


* Lead the delivery of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programmes across both hotels, ensuring all engineering systems and equipment are maintained to the highest standard. 


* Ensure statutory compliance across all engineering and building services, maintaining accurate, audit-ready records and ensuring all legal obligations are met. 


* Conduct regular technical, health and safety and security inspections, identifying risks and implementing effective corrective actions. 


* Lead and support the engineering teams, creating a positive culture focused on safety, accountability, service excellence and continuous improvement. 


* Manage external contractors, consultants and specialist service providers, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and in line with agreed standards. 


* Support the delivery of refurbishment projects, capital investment programmes and wider hotel improvement initiatives. 


* Drive energy, water and waste reduction strategies through effective use of the Building Management System (BMS), supporting both hotels in achieving their sustainability objectives. 


* Ensure compliance with Approved Codes of Practice (ACOPs), company policies, brand standards and safe systems of work. 


* Provide technical advice and engineering expertise to hotel leadership teams, project managers and external stakeholders to support operational decision making and future developments.
