Teacher (Union) Location: 801 Kirk Street, Fostoria, OH 44830 Schedule: Monday - Thursday Weekly Hours: 34 hours per week (August - June) Employment Type: Seasonal Full-Time Pay Rate: $22.05 - $25.00 per hour, based on education and experience Position Overview: Lead the implementation of a developmentally appropriate, high-quality early childhood education program for preschool children.

Plan and deliver engaging lesson plans, support individualized learning needs, and create a safe, nurturing classroom environment in alignment with Head Start Performance Standards and applicable regulations.

Experience: One to three years experience in early childhood development and up to one year experience working with word processing, spreadsheet, internet, and database software.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide an age-appropriate learning environment that allows for individual differences; promote and encourage a positive learning environment and nurturing teacher child interactions; use the Creative Curriculum to guide the creation of the learning environment.Plan and prepare weekly lessons; identify and select instructional supplies and provide instruction to students.Implement developmentally appropriate activities and strategies which support the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of preschool children.Establish and maintain an attractive, clean, safe, and functional environment that supports and respects each childs gender, culture, language, and ethnicity.Create, organize and maintain instructional materials and supplies; rotate classroom materials routinely.Plan, train, assess, and direct the work of...
