The Head of Sales Compensation Varian will be responsible for both Sales and Customer Service Incentive Plan design, compensation payouts, and strategic analysis.
Additional responsibilities include:
* Lead quarterly and annual compensation analytics and commissions payout reviews for senior management
* Lead and manage a team of compensation analysts (in US and abroad), including day-to-day operations and career mentoring
* Partner with Sales, Finance, IT, HR Business Partners, and HR Total Rewards Leadership Team to design effective incentive compensation plans and understand and improve end-to-end compensation through various organizations
* Review and complete due diligence of Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) tools, industry best practices, benchmarking surveys to ensure that Varian's compensation approach is market-leading and scalable.
* Provide analysis regarding productivity, job profiles and compensation ranges, target pay and pay mix, attainment and quota optimization, etc.
Key Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with some Post-Graduate work (or equivalent experience).
* Minimum of 8 years of related experience in financial planning and analysis, sales operations, or Sales Compensation (commissions experience highly preferred).
* Minimum of 5 years of management experience
* Experience in major ICM (Incentive Compensation Management, i.e.
Varicent, Xactly, Callidus), HCM (Human Capital Management, i.e.
Workday), and ERP systems
* Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail, Excel, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint.

* Ability to communicate effectively across different organizations and levels
* Ability to handle multiple deadlines and payout calendars
