Heavy Equipment Snow Removal Supervisor (Full-Time, Seasonal) - Winter 26/27

SUMMARY Supervises, coordinates, and performs snow removal by directing available crew and assisting in work.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

Hires, motivates, evaluates, and directs staff to ensure adequate guidance and resources to accomplish established goals and objectives.

Ensures that all employees receive the training, support, guidance, feedback and resources necessary.Ensures all parking lots and employee parking areas are cleared of snow by a pre-determined time every morning.Monitors weather and coordinates any necessary late day plowing operations.Ensures all snow removal equipment is adequately maintained and in good working order.Directs the establishment of departmental standards, guidelines, and objectives.Maintains other administrative processes such as time center and staffing to ensure proper planning, efficient operation of departments, and successful achievement of resort goals.Monitors and evaluates operational projects to ensure the successful execution of activities and to improve the effectiveness of the areas of responsibility.Maintains and enhances a guest-focused culture in all areas of responsibility.Maintains schedules in compliance with regulations and authorities having jurisdiction; manages responsibilities in compliance with resort safety policies.Remains current on legal issues and technological advances which impact the industry; maintains awareness of scope and progress of competition.Maintains effective communication skills with all levels of employees, guests, and all other outside contacts.Delegates responsibility, motivates and leads direct reports to achieve goals and objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES TO SAFETY: Protect the safety of self, workers, and Grand Targhee Resort guests.Report any potentially harmful equipment or situations to the immediate supervisor without delay.Report safety-related accidents and incidents at once to immediate supervisor.Follow all company and department safety policies and procedures as outlined in the Resorts Occupational Safety & Health Compliance Manual and department-specific procedures or manuals.Operate equipment safely so that it will not lead to injury to yourself or others.Drive in accordance with the law and Grand Targhee Resort policies.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Directly supervises up to 6 employees in the Snow Removal Department.

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
