Daycare Attendant (Full and Part-Time, Seasonal) - Winter 26/27

SUMMARY This position is for someone who is passionate about working with kids.

Being responsible for the safety and well-being of children in the care of the Huckleberry Patch Daycare ranging in age from 1 year to 6 yrs.

Communicate with parents, supervisors and staff regarding the activities of children being cared for.

Provide input to improve the overall quality of services offered in the daycare.

Organize creative activities, games and arts and crafts.

Ensure health and safety standards outlined in the current Wyoming Department of Family Services, Child Care Licensing Rules.

Perform daily duties including but not limited to: feeding, sleeping/ resting/changing children.

Clean all areas of the Huckleberry Patch Daycare facility daily.

Must have great guest service skills and the ability to work positively with children and adults.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

Other duties may be assigned Keep all daycare children safe by being responsible and diligent.Note daycare children behavior and actions, be able to convey those back to a supervisor and/ or parent.Create games, activities, crafts etc.

to keep children entertained and learning.Dress and clean up children, make sure they have appropriate clothing for the activities they are performing.Cleaning the facility.Taking reservations and handling money.Create an environment that encourages exploration and learning that parents and children trust.Keep calm in moments of stress.Treat kids, parents, and staff with kindness and respect.Age-appropriate communication with kids and while in the facility.

Perform duties daily including but not limited to: feeding, changing of diapers, dressing and undressing children for skiing and/or outdoor play.Use positive reinforcement strategies with children.Monitor sleeping/resting children.Take reservations and perform cashiering duties (if applicable).

Follow the dress code.Maintain professionalism in all situations.

Complete all opening and closing procedures each day.

RESPONSIBILITIES TO SAFETY: Protect the safety of self, workers, and Grand Targhee Resort guests.Report any potentially harmful equipment or situations to the immediate supervisor without delay.Report safety-related accidents and incidents at once to immediate supervisor.Follow all company and department safety policies and procedures as outlined in the Resorts Occupational Safety & Health Compliance Manual and department-specific procedures or manuals.Operate equipment safely so that it will not lead to injury to yourself or others.Drive in accordance with the law and Grand Targhee Resort policies.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

WORK SCHEDULE Due to the nature of the recreation industry, we are in operation seven days a week.

This includes weekends and holidays and there is no guarantee of hours.

Flexible working hours may be required based on the business levels.
