Position Overview

This is a skilled position responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy equipment used in construction, aggregate production, and/or materials handling operations.

This position supports daily production goals by maintaining equipment performance, following safety protocols, and ensuring high-quality results in a team-oriented environment.

Position will be located in Rexburg and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)


* Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, bulldozers, haul trucks, and other machinery as assigned.


* Perform pre- and post-operation inspections to ensure equipment is in safe working condition.


* Monitor equipment performance and make operational adjustments to maintain productivity and efficiency.


* Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and MSHA/OSHA regulations.


* Load, transport, and stockpile materials according to production requirements.Assist with site preparation, grading, and material handling tasks.


* Conduct basic maintenance and minor repairs; report major issues to maintenance personnel.


* Maintain a clean and organized work area.


* Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production and project goals.


* Complete required daily logs, inspection reports, and production records.

Education/Experience


* High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.

Work Requirements



* 1-3 years of heavy equipment operating experience preferred.


* Experience in construction, aggregates, or related industries is a plus.


* Working knowledge of equipment safety practices and procedures.


* Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic troubleshooting.


* Valid driver's license required; CDL may be preferred depending on role.


* Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.


* Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends as needed.
