The Cost Accountant will support the Energy & Communications business within the National Solutions Division.

The role partners closely with plant and operations leadership across multiple manufacturing locations to ensure accurate product costing, strong cost controls, and meaningful financial insight.

The Cost Accountant will own and maintain the integrity of Bills of Materials (BOMs) and standard costing structures, support inventory and manufacturing variance analysis, and help drive consistency and scalability in cost accounting processes across the business.

As experience is gained, this role will contribute to process improvements, system enhancements, and stronger financial governance.

Job Location

This role will be based out of the Atlanta, Georgia office.

Periodic travel to manufacturing sites may be required.

Job Responsibilities



* Own product costing and BOM integrity, including materials, labor, and overhead; partner with operations and engineering to evaluate cost impacts of design and process changes.


* Maintain and monitor moving average cost methodology to ensure accurate inventory valuation and cost of goods sold


* Establish and maintain standard labor and overhead rates in collaboration with plant leadership.


* Analyze manufacturing variances and proactively identify root causes, trends, and improvement opportunities.


* Support inventory management and internal controls, including cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory valuation.


* Partner with plant accounting and operations team to ensure cost-related transactions are accurate, timely, and properly supported.


* Participate in monthly/quarterly/annual close processes ensuring accurate, timely cost and profitability reporting.


* Prepare and analyze cost and profitability reporting, including ad-hoc analyses as needed.


* Drive continuous improvement in cost accounting processes, controls, and data standardization to support a growing, multi-site manufacturing environment.
