Taos Ski Valley is hiring cooks at Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced levels.

Pay starts at a minimum of $20.82 with hourly rate set based on experience and skill level.

Cook positions span several levels of skill, all of which are responsible for the production of and quality control standards of food in a high-volume kitchen through peak periods of service.

The nature of this job requires highly motivated, committed, and skilled individuals who can work with a team in a fast-paced environment to achieve customer satisfaction.

You will be responsible for preparing and, using a full range of cooking methods and knife skills, cooking food consistent with recipes and what is printed on the guest's ticket, ultimately ensuring that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion.

Essential Job Responsibilities: Prepare food items according to standardized recipes, production guides, and guest tickets while maintaining quality, consistency and presentation standards.

Assist with food prep, mise en place, and station setup to ensure readiness for daily service and projected business levels.

Follow established recipes, portion standards, and proper cooking techniques to maintain product quality, control food costs, and minimize waste.

Complete opening and closing duties in accordance with departmental checklists and standard operating procedures.

Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary workstations, equipment, refrigeration, storage areas, and food preparation spaces in accordance with health department standards.

Receive, transport, organize, and properly store food products and kitchen supplies while following food safety and inventory procedures.

Communicate effectively with chefs and front-of-house staff to ensure accurate, timely preparation and delivery of guest orders.

Assist with daily production planning and preparation based on projected business volumes.

Support the execution of catered events, special functions, and other Food & Beverage operations as assigned.

Follow all food safety, sanitation, workplace safety, and company policies to maintain a safe and efficient kitchen environment.
