Machinist 1st shift
Job Summary
We're looking for a Machinist to set up and operate a variety of manual and CNC machine tools to manufacture and repair precision aerospace components.
In this role, you'll use blueprints, technical drawings, measuring instruments, and machining expertise to produce high-quality parts while maintaining safety, productivity, and quality standards.

Shift: 1st shift, Monday-Friday 5:30a-2:00p
What You’ll Be Doing
* Set up and operate manual and CNC machine tools to manufacture and repair precision aerospace components.
* Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, work instructions, and GD&T requirements.
* Perform machine setups, tooling changes, and adjustments to maintain quality and productivity.
* Use precision measuring equipment to inspect parts and verify conformance to specifications.
* Monitor machining operations and complete required inspection and production documentation.
* Perform routine equipment maintenance and safely operate overhead cranes and material handling equipment as required.
* Troubleshoot machining issues and support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, quality, and efficiency.
* Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and production teams to meet customer and operational requirements.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all company policies and procedures.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
* High School Diploma or GED preferred.
* Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
* Experience operating manual and/or CNC machine tools in a manufacturing environment.
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
* Knowledge of machining practices, machine setup, tooling, and inspection techniques.
* Ability to use precision measuring instruments and hand tools.
* Intermediate math skills, including the ability to calculate dimensions and tolerances.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
* Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
* Ability to work safely and effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Nice to Have
* Aerospace manufacturing experience.
* Experience with close-tolerance machining.
* Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
* Experience operating overhead cranes.
* Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience.
* Experience troubleshooting machining processes and improving productivity.
