Essential Functions & Responsibilities


* Coordinates the schedules and maintains contact with drivers throughout the day for delivery trucks of products such as ready-mix, sand, gravel, soil, asphalt, etc.


* Answers telephone, radio, and email to take and input orders from company customers.


* Possesses a strong knowledge of available mixes and accurately schedules orders according to the system.


* Utilizes company systems to monitor and manage customer expectations.


* Maintains strict adherence to company policies, safety/OSHA requirements and procedures.


* Possesses a professional attitude while interacting with peers, contractors and general public


* Monitors any sudden route changes or road construction issues and work with drivers to establish new routes for timely deliveries


* May perform other related duties such as input data into computer, ticket timer, shop timecards, create driver schedule work times for following day, if needed.

Requirements


* Have a strong understanding of DOT transportation regulations and applicable state laws.



* Basic mathematical skills (writing/understanding basic equations)


* Basic computer skills with the ability to learn required systems.


* Strong knowledge of the roadways throughout the immediate area.


* Ability to work in a team environment in high pressure situations.


* Ability to communicate, understand, and follow both written and verbal instructions.
