Summary:

Prepares and cooks family style meals for boat crews and employees of institutions by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

* Prepare and cook meals in appropriate quantities based on established menus and crew size, ensuring quality, consistency and timeliness.


* Plan and develop menus that incorporate seasonal ingredients, cost efficiency, and balanced nutrition for crew members.


* Serve meals in a timely and professional manner, maintain a clean and organized dining environment.


* Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas, including dishwashing, food preparation surface, and storage areas.


* Perform food preparation tasks such as cutting, portioning, and storing meats and other ingredients.


* Monitor and manage inventory levels; order food and kitchen supplies as needed while maintaining accurate records of usage and expenditures.


* Direct activities of one or more workers who assist in preparing and serving meals.


* Comply with all company policies, safety regulations, and sanitation standards.


* Remain onboard the vessel for extended periods, supporting continuous meal service operations for the crew.
