Laundry, Housekeeping & Janitorial Aide - Part-Time

Visalia Post Acute is seeking a dependable and hardworking Part-Time Laundry, Housekeeping & Janitorial Aide to join our environmental services team.

This position helps maintain a clean, sanitary, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents, visitors, and staff.
Pay Range

$17.48-$17.50 per hour
Responsibilities


* Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas.


* Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect assigned areas.


* Empty trash containers and replace liners.


* Clean windows, mirrors, fixtures, handrails, and frequently touched surfaces.


* Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute resident and facility linens.


* Properly label, handle, and return resident clothing and personal laundry.


* Make beds and replace linens as assigned.


* Maintain laundry rooms, housekeeping carts, storage areas, and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.


* Follow infection control, sanitation, chemical safety, and facility procedures.


* Use caution signs and appropriate safety measures when cleaning.


* Monitor supplies and notify the supervisor when items need to be reordered.


* Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or resident concerns to the appropriate supervisor.


* Assist with additional housekeeping, laundry, or janitorial duties as assigned.

Qualifications


* Previous laundry, housekeeping, janitorial, or healthcare experience is preferred but not required.


* Dependable, organized, and attentive to detail.


* Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.


* Strong customer service and communication skills.


* Ability to stand, bend, reach, push, pull, and lift supplies throughout the shift.


* Must be available to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.
