Elementary Day Treatment Mental Health Practitioner

Job Summary At Fernbrook Family Center, our Mental Health Practitioners (MHPs) make a meaningful difference in the lives of children, adults, and families experiencing mental health challenges.

Working under the supervision of a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP), MHPs provide compassionate, skill-building support that helps clients strengthen resilience, improve daily functioning, and achieve their personal goals.

Supervisory Responsibilities This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities.

Mental Health Practitioners work collaboratively with Fernbrook team members and community partners to coordinate care and support positive client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities Deliver skills-based mental health services to children, adults, and families through individual, family, and group interventions.Build positive therapeutic relationships that support client growth and progress.Utilize culturally responsive and evidence-informed approaches to meet client needs.Meet established productivity and billable service expectations.Complete accurate and timely documentation in accordance with agency and regulatory standards.Participate in clinical supervision and seek consultation when needed.Attend team meetings and actively engage in professional development opportunities.Complete 30 hours of mental health-related continuing education every two years.Collaborate with Fernbrook staff, schools, healthcare providers, and community partners.Represent and uphold Fernbrook's mission, values, and commitment to quality care.Follow agency policies, procedures, and ethical standards.Perform other duties as assigned.
