*Schedule Needs: Afternoon Shifts Employment Type:PRN ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Facilitates didactic lectures, workshops, educational resident groups, and resident community meetings.Recognizes, prevents, and responds to situations in which a resident may be a danger to self or others, behaves in an aggressive or destructive manner, may be experiencing a crisis or may be experiencing a medical emergency.Reads, interprets, and implements clients treatment plan.Coordinates recreational and social activities for residents within the milieu.Provides support and encouragement to residents, demonstrating warmth, empathy, and genuineness.Conducts luggage searches and room searches as necessary for safety.Attends and participates in treatment team meetings and MDS as requested.Maintains accurate and timely charting in the EMR system.Assists with any resident assignments as directed.

JOB SKILLS AND ABILITY Knowledge of resident rights and provision of treatment that promotes resident dignity, independence, individuality, strengths, privacy, and choice.Able to meet the unique needs of our resident population, taking into consideration diagnosis and trauma informed care.Ability to maintain appropriate boundaries with residents.Ability to communicate effectively, using non-judgmental words and behaviors, using person-centered language, and engages in active and reflective listening.Recognizes, respects, and adapts to diversity, differences, and cultural traditions of residents.Knowledge and application of confidentiality requirements and HIPAA.
