The Maintenance Technician routinely performs preventative maintenance on all equipment and components to ensure the continued safe, efficient, and effective operations of equipment used in the facility.
This position also assists with maintaining parts inventory, organizing, and maintaining the maintenance shop, diagnosing equipment malfunctions and performs repairs.
This position must be able to take a proactive approach to preventative maintenance to improve equipment reliability and lifespan.
Work Schedule: Monday-Thursday 3:00 PM to 1 AM.
On call as needed.
Responsibilities Completes routine repairs, preventative maintenance, and troubleshoots maintenance issues on standardized equipment Responds to production requests for immediate attention to production line breakdowns Assists in maintaining the organization of the maintenance shop and adequate parts inventoryDocuments work completed as required including logs, data reports, procedures, etcCommunicates and collaborates with other departments, including production, warehouse, and quality, regarding the status of maintenance projects and needsParticipates in training, retraining, and continual improvement processes and methods Ensures plant is maintained and in accordance with housekeeping policies and guidelines Follows and complies with all safety, work rules, and regulationsOther duties/responsibilities as assigned, or apparentTroubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues within a wide variety of machines such as relay logic and PLCsWorking with hand and/or power equipment in a manufacturing settingFabricating and repairing partsResponsible for planning, layout, installation and maintenance of complex equipment containing automatic controls, generating equipment, large switchboards, motors, rollers and complex gear reducers mandrels and other electrical and mechanical componentsOther duties/responsibilities as assigned, or apparent
