The Tire Technician at Resource Transport plays a vital role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of Resource Transports fleet.
This position is responsible for installing, repairing, balancing, and maintaining tires on Kenworth and Freightliner vehicles, as well as supporting roadside service needs.
The Tire Technician must demonstrate strong attention to detail, technical skill, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship in both shop and field environments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Install, remove, repair, balance, rotate, and maintain tires on Kenworth and Freightliner tractors and related equipment.Perform tire changes, puncture repairs, wheel balancing, and assist with alignments to ensure safe vehicle operation.Conduct routine tire inspections to identify wear, damage, or potential safety concerns and recommend corrective actions.Provide roadside tire service and emergency repairs to minimize equipment downtime.Operate tire machines, balancers, air tools, jacks, and other specialized tire service equipment safely and effectively.Manage and track tire inventory, including receiving, staging, and documenting tire usage.Ensure all work is performed in compliance with OSHA, DOT, and company safety policies.Maintain accurate service records and documentation related to tire work performed.Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in both the shop and service truck.Communicate clearly with drivers, dispatch, and leadership regarding tire conditions, service needs, and repair timelines.
