PA or NP: Gastroenterology
JOB DESCRIPTION: Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) REPORTS TO: APP Physician Liaison DEFINITION OF POSITION: We are looking for an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to diagnose and treat acute and chronic GI health conditions, as well as promote good health practices.
You will see patients in both clinics and the inpatient care setting.
Duties include conducting physical examinations, initiating work up and treatment, interpreting lab tests, and overseeing patients plan of care.
You will be both a health practitioner and an educator, supporting disease prevention practices and helping people lead healthy lives.
Experience in one of the following subspecialties preferred: acute care, cardiology, family health, womens health or urgent care, preference for experience in gastroenterology.
As a nurse practitioner or physician assistant, you will collaborate with other healthcare professionals, a team spirit, positive attitude, and strong work ethic is required.
Patience, critical thinking, and good communication are a must.

Responsibilities Examine patients and their medical recordsDiagnostic testing and interpretation (blood testing, imaging, advanced imaging, etc.)Diagnose health conditions and illnessesPropose treatments for chronic and infectious diseasesPrescribe medicationsMaintain accurate records and schedulesInform patients about their health conditions and prescribed medicationsEducate patients and their family members on diseases, epidemics, and preventionOversee patients overall healthPromote good health practicesAdvance professional knowledge and conduct research Skills Proven experience as a NP or PA in a clinic, hospital, ER or other settingExpertise in primary care, acute care, and chronic care practicesKnowledge of health and patient care regulationsExcellent communication skillsStrong ethicsTeam spirit with a positive attitudeCritical ThinkingWillingness to continue gaining knowledge and clinical experienceValid, unencumbered licensure in the state of IdahoMasters degree, PhD is a plusExperience in EPIC eMR a plus Salary: DOE Benefits: 401(k) with matchingContinuing education creditsDental insuranceEmployee assistance programHealth insuranceLife insuranceMalpractice insurancePaid time off Physical setting: HospitalOutpatientPrivate practice Schedule: Clinic 8-5Hospital rotations varyOccasional night call License/Certification: Certified Nurse Practitioner licensed in IdahoCertified Physician Assistant licensed in Idaho Work Location: Boise, Meridian, Nampa Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
