JOB SUMMARY

The Shipping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the efficient flow of parts and information across the manufacturing site); this includes shipping, receiving, storage, and Quality DSQR.

The position will oversee a dock supervisor as well as the shipping and receiving teams.


* Work with Team members and other leaders to monitor standards of work and process flow within the department or work area to meet production and customer requirements


* Responsible to execute goals and objectives for the plant.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES


* Oversee daily shipping operations to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment


* Partner cross-functionally to develop strategies, processes, and tools required to enable efficient and effective part & information flow


* Develop key performance metrics to identify opportunities for process improvements, costs savings, and increased operational efficiency


* Own daily reporting on part status: locations, quantities, ETA, risks & opportunities


* Work closely with Planning, Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Purchasing functions to ensure parts are shipped


* Partner with Purchasing to monitor vendor performance: past due tracking and miss-shipping by vendor


* Develop plans, and procedures to carry out company policies, practices and objectives to ensure legal, ITAR and EAR compliance with both state and federal laws related to export shipments, & recordkeeping


* Main point of contact for all outside service providers


* Manage, train, and schedule shipping staff
