Your Job

We are seeking an OAR Railroad & Supply Chain Manager to join the Georgia Pacific Leaf River Cellulose Mill in New Augusta, MS team to own, manage and execute the supply chain strategy for the Old Augusta Railroad (OAR) Operations.

This role leads a team and is responsible for end-to-end strategic supply chain planning and execution, including: forecasting/planning/scheduling, inventory management, order fulfillment and vendor management for existing products and new products under development.

Our Team

The Leaf River Cellulose Mill is a large paper mill, north of New Augusta, Mississippi.

They produce filter grade pulp and market pulp, which is used in the manufacturing of coffee filters, vacuum cleaner bags, automotive filters, printing paper, tissue paper, and coated paper.

What You Will Do



* Identify and create opportunities within LRC to add value and reduce/avoid costs, while driving delivery of opportunities through to completion and/or economic return


* Oversee management and monitor lease railcars to continue to reduce car hire and shortfall cost and to ensure overall utilization equipment


* Lead Leaf River Supply Chain department to create long term value through the deliberate application of PBM


* Develop and implement strategies to create and maintain a competitively advantaged supply chain capability while helping the business meet its goals


* Lead enterprise-level supply chain transformation initiatives for our Packaging Cellulose Digital Core (PCDC) and continued improvements of M3 System (a cloud-based enterprise resource planning (ERP) platform that manages complex global manufacturing, distribution, and logistics operations)


* Strategically plan and execute inventory management and forecasting to ensure the right product is in the right locations, utilizing technology to drive improvement


* Lead enterprise-level supply chain transformation of our Packaging Cellulose Digital Core (PCDC)


* Monitor and solicit feedback from


* Create a strategic, forward-looking integrated business plan and S&OP


* Establish and manage consistent tracking of on time in full (OTIF)


* Provide onboarding, oversight, and management of 3PLs, warehouses and contract manufacturing partners and drive accountability


* Drive delivery of strategic cost savings, working with production planning and shipping to continue to optimize loading of railcars, containers, and truck to reduce freight costs


* Oversee management and monitor container demurrage, use of 3 rd party drop yard, spotting costs and chassis rental costs to ensure overall utilization of equipment


* Partner with operations, analytics, finance, and others to align priorities, drive implementation, and build consensus around key decisions


* Provide central oversight of production planning and scheduling
