Position Summary

As a Dental Assistant, you'll play an essential role in creating a welcoming, comfortable experience for children and their families while supporting our dentists in delivering outstanding pediatric dental care.

You'll work alongside an experienced, collaborative team that values professionalism, compassion, and continuous learning.

What You'll Do



* Assist dentists during a variety of pediatric dental procedures by preparing patients, instruments, and treatment rooms.


* Ensure operatories are fully prepared, organized, and turned over efficiently throughout the day.


* Maintain clinical inventory and coordinate ordering of dental supplies.


* Follow OSHA and infection control protocols for cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing instruments and equipment.


* Take dental radiographs, impressions, and other diagnostic records as permitted.


* Accurately document patient histories, charting, and treatment notes using our paperless electronic dental records.


* Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions.


* Collaborate with the front office to ensure efficient scheduling, patient flow, and an outstanding patient experience.


* Help create a fun, positive, and comforting environment where children feel safe and excited to visit the dentist.

Qualifications



* Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program or equivalent experience.


* Current Dental Assistant certification and radiology certification as required by state regulations.


* Experience in pediatric dentistry is preferred but not required—we're happy to train the right candidate!


* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with both children and adults.


* Excellent organization, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.


* Knowledge of infection control procedures, dental terminology, and electronic dental records.


* Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a genuine passion for providing exceptional patient care.
