What Will Your Job Look Like?

 The Labor Relations Specialist supports the organization's labor strategy through administration of collective bargaining agreements, grievance management, disciplinary processes, hearings, and labor-management relations.

This position serves as a key partner to operational leaders by ensuring contractual compliance, maintaining labor relations documentation, and supporting the resolution of labor disputes and workforce issues. 

What You’ll Do:

Labor Relations Administration 


* Serve as the primary point of contact for labor relations matters involving represented employees. 


* Interpret collective bargaining agreements and provide guidance to leaders regarding contractual obligations. 


* Respond to labor relations inquiries concerning policies, procedures, work rules, and bargaining agreements. 


* Maintain positive labor-management relationships with union representatives. 

Discipline & Hearings 


* Coordinate and administer disciplinary processes involving represented employees. 


* Prepare disciplinary documentation and supporting materials. 


* Review investigations and evidence to ensure disciplinary actions are consistent and contractually compliant. 


* Schedule, facilitate, and participate in disciplinary hearings and fact-finding meetings. 


* Advise leaders on progressive discipline and contract administration. 

Grievance Management 


* Coordinate grievance administration from filing through final resolution. 


* Track grievance, hearing, and arbitration timelines to ensure compliance with contractual requirements. 


* Prepare grievance responses and supporting documentation. 


* Assist in grievance investigations and evidence gathering. 


* Maintain grievance logs, status reports, and trend analysis. 

Contract Administration & Documentation 


* Organize and maintain all collective bargaining agreements, side letters, arbitration decisions, settlements, and related labor documentation. 


* Prepare records and materials required for labor-management meetings, negotiations, and arbitrations. 


* Track information requests and ensure timely responses. 


* Coordinate meetings between union officials, employees, and management representatives. 

Negotiations & Labor Strategy Support 


* Collect and analyze labor-related data including wages, benefits, attendance trends, and operational metrics.
