79935 JOB SUMMARY: Under general supervision, the Specialty Fitness Trainer designs and leads individual and group fitness programs requiring advanced, specialty, or nationally recognized certifications.

This position delivers safe, effective, and progressive instruction using specialized training methods, therapeutic movement principles, or licensed fitness formats.

Specialty Fitness Trainers are responsible for maintaining certification standards, applying advanced knowledge of exercise science, and ensuring high-quality instruction that supports participant safety, engagement, and program growth.

This position is designated as Specialty Fitness Trainer due to the requirement for advanced or specialty certification beyond general fitness instruction Plan and lead specialized fitness classes and training sessions in accordance with current certification standards and nationally recognized guidelines.

Deliver instruction in accordance with national licensing standards, certification requirements, and brand guidelines.

Design and implement structured class formats that promote safety, engagement, progression, and participant success.

Modify exercises and provide appropriate progressions and regressions based on participant fitness levels, health considerations, and physical limitations.

Ensure all classes are conducted safely and effectively while maintaining a high level of energy, professionalism, and participant engagement.

Monitor participant performance and intensity levels to prevent injury and ensure safe participation.

Assess participant readiness and provide guidance within scope of certification.

Maintain current national certification and licensing required for specialty program instruction.

Comply with all national program standards, guidelines, and continuing education requirements.

Maintain professional knowledge of current trends, techniques, and best practices in specialty fitness instruction.
