Education & Employment Specialist

The Education & Employment Specialist empowers young people (ages 1225) to achieve their education and career goals by providing individualized, youth-centered support at a pace that meets each person's unique needs.

As a trusted ally, this role helps youth navigate educational pathways, career exploration, and workforce readiness while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver coordinated, holistic care.

Key responsibilities include supporting school engagement and reentry, coordinating academic accommodations, serving as a liaison with local schools and colleges, and assisting youth whose education has been impacted by mental health challenges.

The specialist also helps youth develop career goals, build life and employment skills, prepare for and secure employment, and sustain success through job coaching and ongoing support.

This role actively engages youth interested in vocational and skilled trades pathways and connects them with community workforce development resources.

Based at the allcove Palo Alto center, this position reports to the Program Manager and requires in-person work Monday through Friday during center operating hours, with occasional evening and weekend flexibility to meet program needs.
