Electronics Technician, IOR

SUMMARY The Electronics Technician applies advanced electrical, instrumentation, and control systems knowledge to support the design, analysis, optimization, and reliability of electronic systems utilized in IOR Operations.

This role is responsible for evaluating system performance, troubleshooting complex issues, and developing solutions that improve equipment efficiency, safety, and operational reliability.

The position serves as a technical resource to operations and engineering teams, providing data-driven recommendations and leading field execution, including commissioning, maintenance strategy, and system improvements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Analyze performance of electrical and instrumentation systems to identify inefficiencies, failure trends, and improvement opportunities.Evaluate system data and recommend modifications to improve reliability, safety, and operational performance.Participate in root cause analysis and develop corrective action plans for recurring issues.Develop and implement strategies to enhance system performance and reduce downtime.Lead design, configuration, and optimization of electrical distribution and control systems.Interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and system architecture to diagnose and resolve complex issues.Troubleshoot power distribution systems, control panels, PLCs, RTUs, and SCADA systems.Provide technical expertise on AC/DC systems, motors, VFDs, and industrial controls.Evaluate, calibrate, and optimize field instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow, level).Support automation systems and remote monitoring capabilities.Analyze and troubleshoot flowmeters, control systems, and communication networks.Recommend improvements to instrumentation and automation strategies.Diagnose and resolve complex electrical and instrumentation issues on pumps, motors, compressors, generators, and related equipment.Lead commissioning, startup, and functional testing of new systems and equipment.Provide technical oversight during rig-up, rig-down, and field operations.Own preventative maintenance strategies to improve equipment lifecycle and reliability.Serve as a technical resource to field personnel, operations, and engineering teams.Provide recommendations and present technical findings to leadership.Mentor field technicians, sharing knowledge and best practices.Partner with cross-functional teams on system upgrades, installations, and continuous improvement initiatives.Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system specifications, troubleshooting guides, and reports.Document findings, recommendations, and system changes.Ensure compliance with ICP standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines.Maintain accurate maintenance records and asset tracking processes.
