Scope of Responsibility: The purpose of this position is to coordinate and expedite the flow of work materials according to production schedule.
Essential Duties: Uses the ERP system to process Material Requirements Planning (MRP) jobsReviews and updates operations in the ERP systemUpdates information in the ERP system as directedUtilizes production logs and job log sheets to ensure accuracy and make corrections when needed.Tracks and audits production employees attendance and applied laborWorks with purchasing to schedule and coordinates materialsContributes to team efforts by effectively communicating and working well with members of other departments and personnel to accomplish assigned tasks and projectsTrack and monitor material advance working with purchasing to verify on time deliveryCoordinate outsourcing of parts to and from other sites.Manages multiple projects with a thorough understanding of specific vendor needs and schedulesContinuously monitors progress on daily work schedules to assure that satisfactory progress is being made to meet Sabre customer demandsAssures accurate information by gathering specifications, drawings, and other related documents for review; compiles documentation into the Vantage-Epicor systemContributes to a safe working environment by being responsible for quality, safety, cleanliness and organization of assigned work areaAdditional duties as assigned Regular and on-time attendance Work in your shift as scheduled Getting along with coworkers Position Requirements: Education: High School diploma or GED equivalent required Certified Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM) preferred Experience: 2 years recent administrative or related experience working in steel manufacturing environment is preferred1 or more years recent experience using an ERP/MRP system is preferred Skills & Abilities: Regular and timely attendance is requiredMust possess professional and effective English verbal and written communication skills, be detail oriented and self-drivenMust be a team player and able to effectively multi-task, with a high level of accuracy, in a fast-paced work environmentMust be flexible to adapt to change and updates regular...
