Copy Of Equipment & Fleet Mechanic
Position Title: Equipment & Fleet Mechanic Reports To: Director of Fleet & Equipment Management Department: Fleet & Equipment FLSA Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt Position Summary The Equipment & Fleet Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and transporting company vehicles, trailers, and equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
This role is critical to supporting field operations by minimizing equipment downtime and providing responsive service across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities Perform repairs and maintenance on small equipment to minimize downtime.
Transport equipment and parts as needed between branches, vendors, and job sites.
Pick up and deliver equipment to job sites or service providers.
Tag and document equipment with asset numbers in coordination with company tracking systems.
Coordinate vehicle service appointments, including warranty work and recalls.
Conduct trailer maintenance, including wheel bearing greasing and troubleshooting lights/wiring.
Replace trailer lights and perform basic wiring repairs.
Perform preventive maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and belt inspections.
Support broader shop operations and special projects as directed.
Ensure compliance with company safety standards and applicable regulations.
Qualifications Proven experience in equipment and vehicle maintenance.
Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of trailers, light trucks, and small equipment.
Ability to perform basic electrical troubleshooting and wiring repairs.
Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
Ability to lift and transport equipment and parts as required.
Strong organizational and documentation skills.
Working Conditions Work hours may vary based on demand, workload, and location.
Primary work location in Tucson AZ and surrounding areas.
Work performed in both shop and field environments, with exposure to outdoor conditions.
Compensation & Benefits Annual salary of $60,000 to $68,000 based on experience, paid weekly.
Eligible for company benefits in accordance with employee policies.
Paid time off accrued per company policy.
