On-Call Occupational Therapist

Western Michigan University Homer Stryker, MD, School of Medicine is hiring an On-Call Occupational Therapist.

Responsible for collaborating with an interdisciplinary health professional team in the multiple disability and oral cleft clinic.

This position will focus exclusively on providing clinical services.

The Occupational Therapist will be part of a multidisciplinary health care team including physicians, nurses, dieticians, social workers, multiple subspecialists, as well as medical students and residents.

The clinic serves as a resource for the region, providing multidisciplinary care and consultation for children, adolescents, and young adults with a variety of genetic, congenital, and developmental disorders.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides evaluation and treatment recommendations for children and adolescents with a wide range of multiple disabilities including oral cleft lip/palate and other related conditions.Participate in interdisciplinary team case conferences.Document patient care and actions per clinic standard.Maintains CEUs required by license.Availability to work occasional overtime on weekends or evenings to complete time sensitive projects.Acquires knowledge for new technology and policy/procedure revisions.All other duties as assigned.
