Job Description Summary


* Multi-functional position, incorporating the performance of mechanic duties on various pieces of machinery and operating equipment.

Requirements


* Minimum of 5 years mechanic experience working on construction equipment, preferably asphalt paving equipment


* Able to work flexible hours as required.

This includes overtime/weekends and holidays


* Able to work in a team environment with a positive attitude and must be able to get along with your co-workers


* Able to follow written and oral instructions


* Must have own tools up to ¾" drive mechanical and pneumatic and other tools required to perform job tasks


* Must be able to stick weld mild steel as a minimum requirement


* Able to use cutting torches and all other shop related tools


* Able to read and understand hydraulic and electrical schematics


* Hydraulic and electrical system trouble shooting and diagnostic skills required


* Basic computer skills for Excel based systems and/or OEM diagnostic systems


* Able to use hands and fingers to manipulate objects/climb ladders/work at heights/stoop/kneel/crawl/crouch and move objects up to 50 lbs


* Able to wear PPE as required to perform job duties safely


* Must have state issued drivers license for up to 26,000# vehicles


* Able to follow the safety policies of West Virginia Paving Inc./prime contractor and companies we perform work for
