Emergency Medical Technician Responsibilities As an EMT with M1 Global, you will provide professional emergency medical care while supporting a safe, responsive, and service-focused environment.
Responsibilities include: Respond promptly and professionally to emergency medical calls and incidents.
Assess, treat, and stabilize patients at the scene and during transport, as applicable.
Provide patient care using appropriate medical techniques, equipment, and established protocols.
Perform occupational health services, including: Drug screenings Hearing tests Fit testing Physicals and wellness checks Accurately document patient information, medical care, treatments, and incident details.
Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with applicable HIPAA and OSHA requirements.
Inspect, clean, stock, and maintain ambulances or emergency response vehicles and medical equipment.
Safely operate emergency response vehicles in accordance with state and company requirements.
Work professionally and collaboratively with law enforcement, fire personnel, healthcare providers, and other emergency response professionals.
Communicate with patients, visitors, employees, and clients in a courteous, compassionate, and respectful manner.
Maintain a high level of professionalism while working in high-pressure and rapidly changing situations.
Qualifications & Requirements High school diploma or GED required.
Current and valid EMT certification/license in the state of employment.
Current CPR/BLS certification; American Heart Association certification preferred.
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Minimum of 1 year of EMT experience in a high-volume emergency care, occupational health, or patient transport setting preferred.
Ability to lift, push, pull, and/or carry 50 pounds or more.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
