* Must have a post-high school degree in computer science, information management, or related subject, and some level of practical experience.


* Three or more years of IT functional and technical experience specifically in standard IT infrastructure hardware (server/disk) technologies and software (VMsphere, MS Windows, RedHat LINUX, backup applications such as Veeam).


* Technical knowledge with the ability to understand code, debugging, and query writing is a plus.


* Understands IT best practices and industry proven practices and relates to Howmet specific business processes.


* Enthusiastic interest in learning and effectively applying new technologies for problem solving.


* Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills.


* Capable of traveling up to 20% both domestically and internationally.


* Metals industry process and system knowledge is a plus.


* Strong knowledge of network topologies and security administration of infrastructure is a plus.


* Knowledge of power shell scripting and ServiceNow is a plus.


* Working knowledge of engineering applications, processes, and sensitive data is a plus.


* Knowledge of the programming of mobile devices and scanners is a plus.
