Job Description:

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Software Engineer with strong expertise in networking systems to join a high-performing engineering team building a leading SD-WAN platform.

In this role, you will design and develop scalable, high-performance networking and security components, with a focus on routing, packet processing, and embedded systems.

You will work on complex, real-world problems involving multi-core systems, distributed networking, and performance optimization.

Responsibilities:



* Design, develop, and maintain packet processing and routing software components


* Implement and enhance routing protocol functionality and network control-plane features


* Develop multi-threaded, high-performance software for embedded networking platforms


* Build integrations with third-party networking and security modules


* Prototype and validate new features for proof-of-concept and early-stage solutions


* Debug and resolve complex networking and system-level issues, including performance bottlenecks


* Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, systems, product) to deliver production-ready features

Required Qualifications:



* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field


* 3+ years of experience in embedded or systems software development


* Strong programming skills in C (Python a plus)


* Experience building multi-threaded applications on Linux or similar systems


* Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, L2/L3 concepts)


* Hands-on experience with packet processing systems or dataplane development


* Strong debugging, problem-solving, and system design skills

Preferred Qualifications:



* Experience with routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, IS-IS)


* Familiarity with Linux kernel networking and system-level internals


* Knowledge of Software Defined Networking (SDN) and SD-WAN architectures


* Experience with high-performance and scalable systems design


* Exposure to network security technologies (e.g., VPN, IPsec, firewalling)
