In this position, you will diagnose, treat, and counsel patients on their current medical conditions and educate them on preventative health measures, including performing annual physicals.

Demonstrating compassion and genuine kindness with all patients.

Position Responsibilities: Meet with patients to assess their symptoms; inquire into the nature of their illness orinjuryAccuratelyidentifyand diagnose medicalconditionsThoroughly examine patients and attend to their chiefcomplaintAnswer and advise on any other questions or concern the patient mighthaveAssignappropriate treatmentplan according to each patientsneedsEducate and inform patient of necessary treatment plan and any follow-upappointmentsPerform clinical tests to better informdiagnosisPerform in-office treatment ifpossibleLook for anything unusual orabnormalPrescribeappropriate medicinesortherapyCalculate correct medication dosage for each patient and educate on properuseOrder outside diagnostic tests and lab work as needed (blood/urine test, tissue samples, imagery, etc.)Analyze and share results of diagnostic testing withpatientContinually chart andmaintainpatient information on paper and in computersystemConduct follow-ups with patients tomonitorand track their condition andprogress Refer patient to a medical specialist whenneededMaintain confidentiality and always work with respect andintegrityEncourage preventative health measures including proper diet,restandexerciseDirect, train, and supervise medical staff including nurses, physician assistants, and med techs on proper procedures andprotocol Qualifications and Education Requirements Current and clear Florida APRN LicenseApproved Medicare with PTAN and status with Blue Cross of Florida, United Healthcare, and Cigna (must be in place to begin work)Able to prescribe controlled substances, (DEA license and DCS) Why Work for Pathways?
