Urgently Hiring: RN's for one-to-one care of a child at home and school in Montrose, NY Sunshine Homecare Services is seeking compassionate and dedicated RN's to provide one-on-one nursing care to a medically fragile child with complex health care needs full-time Monday- Sunday 7:00am- 3:00pm and 3:00pm-11:00pm.

Special skills needed: Straight Cath, hoyer lift, seizure experience, gastrostomy tube, cough assist.

Position Details Schedule: Mon-Sun 7:00am-3:00pm, 3:00pm-11:00pmLocation: Montrose, NYEmployment Type: Full time and Part-TimeRate: $50.00 Essential Job Duties Provide direct nursing care to child at school and homeAdminister medications and treatments as prescribedMonitor and document the child's health status throughout the eveningBe prepared to respond to medical emergencies and provide appropriate interventionsAssist with medical devices such as feeding tubes, tracheostomies, oxygen, nebulizer and catheters as neededCollaborate with family, and healthcare providersEnsure compliance with the care plan developed by the RN Case Manager and physicianDocument care and communicate updates with Sunshine Homecare Services and RN case manager.Use appropriate infection control procedures and safety measures.Comply with all company policies, practices, and procedures.

Qualifications Graduate of an accredited RN programCurrent NY State RN license in good standingMinimum 2 years of pediatric nursing experience preferredExperience in school or community health nursing is a plusMust have or willing to get NPIFamily prefers male nurse Certifications/Licenses Valid Nursing Degree/DiplomaActive New York State RN LicenseCurrent CPR Certification Skills & Abilities Strong pediatric care skills requiredExcellent communication with children, families, and staffAbility to handle emergency situations calmlyOrganized and detail-oriented documentation skillsKnowledge of infection control and safety procedures Physical Requirements & Work Environment Ability to remain on school premises for scheduled hoursAbility to assist with student mobility and transfers to and from school and when home Why Work for Sunshine?
