Warehouse Assistant

Pay Range DOE: $17.00 - $22.00/hour
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM - This is a temp-to-hire with the eligibility of full-time permanent placement.
Benefits: This position is eligible for Paid Sick and Safe Time (PSST) under the Healthy Families and Workplaces Act.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Warehouse Assistant will support the Warehouse Manager and assist with daily warehouse operations.
This is a hands-on position for an individual who is dependable and hardworking and who can work independently, take initiative, and help maintain efficient warehouse operations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Pull, package, and load customer orders accurately.
* Assist with all warehouse operations and inventory management.
* Operate forklifts safely and efficiently.
* Receive, stock, and organize inventory.
* Use barcode systems for inventory tracking.
* Make local deliveries as needed.
* Assist customers with will-call pickups.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
* Troubleshoot warehouse issues and identify solutions.
* Support and provide backup coverage for the Warehouse Manager.
* Help direct daily warehouse activities when needed.
* Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, safety, and customer service.

Education:
* A High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Experience:
* Prior warehouse experience is required.
* Prior forklift experience is required.
* Prior leadership or training experience is preferred.
Other:
* Ability to lift and move plastic materials up to 50 lbs.
* Demonstrates consistent attendance, punctuality, and dependability in meeting work schedules and job responsibilities.
* Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and accurately read and apply measurements to support warehouse operations and order fulfillment
* Maintains a positive attitude, works collaboratively with others, and contributes to a productive, team-oriented work environment.
