About the Position

The Plant EHS Specialist position implements, administers, and monitors company Environmental, Health, and Safety programs for the plant to ensure work conditions and practices meet all applicable regulations and policies.

This position partners with Plant Leadership, Operations, Quality, Maintenance, HR, and Engineering to support safety compliance and continuous improvement on the plant floor.

Essential Functions: Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time.


* Program Maintenance: Implements and maintains safety and health programs to eliminate workplace risks and hazards.


* Environmental Reporting: Tracks, maintains, and submits mandatory environmental records and regulatory compliance reporting.


* Compliance Audits: Conducts daily and periodic safety inspections, hazard assessments, and facility compliance audits.


* Training Coordination: Delivers and tracks safety and occupational health training programs for all site employees.


* Incident Investigation: Administers the accident reporting system and investigates incidents to identify root causes and mitigation steps.


* Recordkeeping: Maintains plant records for occupational health, safety training logs, certifications, and environmental data.


* Hazard Correction: Tracks and ensures the timely completion of corrective actions for identified unsafe conditions or audit findings.


* Industrial Hygiene: Performs or coordinates evaluations of employee exposure to noise, dust, gases, and fumes.


* Agency Interaction: Assists outside regulatory organizations during site audits and serves as a primary compliance contact.


* Floor Presence: Executes multi-layered risk predictions, conducts behavior observations, and delivers frequent safety communications.

* Software Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database tracking applications.


* Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to and training plant floor employees.
