Job Description Summary


* Multi-functional position, incorporating the performance of mechanic duties on various pieces of machinery and operating equipment.

Requirements


* Experience working on construction equipment, preferably dump trucks, trailers, wheel loaders, skid steers, and tug boats


* Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays


* Team-oriented with a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills


* Ability to follow written and verbal instructions


* Must provide own tools (up to 1/2" drive mechanical and pneumatic, plus job-required tools)


* Basic MIG, TIG, and stick welding experience preferred


* Ability to use cutting torches and standard shop tools


* Ability to read and interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics


* Strong hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting/diagnostic skills


* Basic computer skills (Excel and/or OEM diagnostic systems)


* Ability to meet physical requirements, including lifting up to 50 lbs and performing tasks such as climbing, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and working at heights


* Must wear required PPE at all times


* Valid state-issued driver's license (up to 26,000 lbs)


* Ability to follow all safety policies and procedures


* Reliable attendance required to support crew efficiency


* Maintain a professional and cooperative attitude with coworkers, customers, and the public


* Flexibility with schedule, location, and shift changes


* Willingness to assist in other roles as needed for job completion


* Must pass drug test and background check

Education & Experience


* High school diploma or equivalent preferred (not required)


* Must provide own tools (up to 1/2" drive)


* Required: Must have 5 years of experience working on diesel trucks and construction equipment, OR completion of a 2-year college-level technical program in diesel or heavy equipment mechanics
