Position Overview
The Ready-Mix Plant Laborer assists in the daily operations of a concrete plant, including the maintenance of equipment, cleaning, loading and unloading of materials, and ensuring the safe and efficient production of concrete.
This position requires attention to safety protocols and procedures while working in a physically demanding environment.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
* Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in company policy and OSHA/MSHA regulations.
* Assist in the batching and mixing of ready-mix
* Help with loading and unloading of materials, including sand, gravel, and
* Operate light equipment such as forklifts, loaders, and
* Monitor plant equipment to ensure proper function during
* Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of plant equipment and
* Inspect and report any defects or issues with
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the plant site, including removing debris and keeping storage areas orderly.
* Follow all safety procedures and wear required protective equipment (PPE).
* Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company safety.
* Participate in safety training and meetings as required.
* Assist with sampling and testing of materials to ensure concrete meets quality standards
* Report any deviations from product quality standards.
* Assist drivers with loading and unloading trucks as needed.
* Help with inventory management, including counting and recording.
* Perform additional tasks as assigned by the plant manager or foreperson.
* Must be willing to work nights and weekends when needed.
* Report to the assigned job site in proper attire and ready to begin work at the designated start times.
* Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers.
* All other duties as needed.

* Previous related experience in the construction field is a plus.
