Lone Tree Post Acute is seeking a dependable and motivated Cook to join our Dietary Services team.

As a Cook, you'll play an important role in providing delicious, well-balanced meals that support the health, comfort, and satisfaction of our residents while working in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Responsibilities


* Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus, recipes, and physician-prescribed diets


* Ensure food is prepared safely while maintaining excellent quality and presentation


* Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards


* Assist with food preparation, serving, and kitchen cleanup


* Monitor food temperatures and maintain accurate production records


* Properly store food and rotate inventory using FIFO guidelines


* Work collaboratively with the Dietary Manager and kitchen team to ensure timely meal service


* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment

Qualifications


* Previous cooking experience in a healthcare, long-term care, restaurant, or commercial kitchen preferred


* Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices


* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment


* Strong teamwork and communication skills


* Reliable, organized, and committed to providing excellent service


* Food Handler Certification preferred or ability to obtain upon hire
