Head Chef - Crowne Plaza
Crowne Plaza Hawkesbury Valley is currently looking for a Full Time Head Chef to join our team.
You’ll have ambition, talent and obviously, some key skills.
Because, for this vital role, we’re looking for someone who is a truly exceptional professional who is passionate about food and delivering a superior guest experience.
Working closely with the team you will be responsible for the daily operations of our Kitchen Operations for our outlets including Gazebo Restaurant, Harvest Restaurant and Bar, In-Room Dinning as well as Conferencing & Events.
Our environment is fast paced and it’s all about working with the Food & Beverage team to create amazing experiences for our guests! Our Meeting & Events operation is unique and diverse so if you’re looking for a role that will give your exposure to Day Meetings, Gala Dinners, Weddings and Special Social Events then this is the role for you!
As the leader of the team you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the daily operations, assisting with menu creations, maintaining food costs, training and mentoring junior chefs & apprentices and maintaining strict hygiene standards.
What you’ll be doing
· Oversee all kitchen operations including restaurant, banquets and stewarding
· Lead, mentor and develop a large culinary team
· Design and deliver innovative, high-quality menus across all outlets
· Manage food costs, budgets, stock control and supplier relationships
· Ensure all food safety, HACCP and WHS standards are met
· Partner with key departments to deliver seamless events and guest experiences
· Drive consistency, quality and presentation across all food offerings
What we’re looking for
· Proven experience as an Executive Chef or Head Chef
· Experience in a hotel environment would be highly advantegous
· Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop teams
· Solid financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting and cost control
· Passion for delivering exceptional food and guest experiences
· Strong knowledge of food safety and kitchen operations
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-outlet environment
