Team Lead

Team Lead - Wiring AssemblyPosition Summary
The Team Lead is responsible for coordinating daily production activities within the Wiring Assembly area, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals are achieved.

This role provides day-to-day leadership, removes production barriers, drives accountability, and supports continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have wiring experience, the ability to read electrical schematics, and strong leadership skills to effectively guide a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities


* Lead and support daily production activities to ensure safety, quality, and performance metrics are achieved.


* Prioritize work assignments and drive accountability across the team.


* Ensure employees are working on the correct production orders and tasks.


* Lead Short Interval Management (SIM) meetings and daily stretching activities.


* Communicate production goals, performance metrics, and operational challenges to leadership and incoming shifts.


* Serve as a point of contact in the supervisor's absence.


* Promote a positive culture that supports change management and the Columbia Plant Vision.


* Support quality initiatives and assist with root cause analysis for non-conforming products and processes.


* Champion workplace safety by ensuring compliance with all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies.


* Drive continuous improvement efforts through Schneider Performance System (SPS) principles and methodologies.


* Serve as the area's 5S Champion, ensuring workplace organization and housekeeping standards are maintained.


* Support departmental processes and transactions in SAP.


* Participate actively in meetings and provide updates on key performance metrics.


* Utilize computer systems and software applications to support production activities.


* Maintain all required certifications and complete assigned training.


* Train and mentor team members as needed.


* Perform additional duties and support other departments as required.

Required Qualifications


* High School Diploma or GED required.


* Experience in wiring assembly and the ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.


* Proficiency with computer systems and software applications.


* Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.


* Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications


* Previous Team Lead or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.


* Experience with SAP and continuous improvement methodologies.


* Knowledge of Schneider Performance System (SPS), Lean Manufacturing, or similar operational excellence programs.
