Parent Partner

Location: Merced, California
Schedule: Full-Time | Non-Exempt
Department: Intensive Home-Based Services
Reports To: Program Supervisor
Pay Range: $22-$22.50 per hour

The base salary range for this position is $22 to $22.50 per hour for employees hired in the Central Valley, CA.

The pay range provided in this job posting represents the typical range or starting rate of candidates hired within the Central Valley region.

Candidates hired in Southern California or Bay Area locations may have higher starting salaries due to cost of living and market data differences.

Position Summary

As a Parent Partner in Merced, California, you'll work as part of a team with youth partners, family social workers, field-based clinicians, and program managers to round out the holistic care treatment for youth and families.

Key Responsibilities

Client Care


* You'll be the parent's advocate who will help families gain the skills and tools needed to be independent, confident parents.


* Helping with budgeting or establishing house rules


* providing support during court proceedings, IEPs or family meetings.


* At times when you have resistant parents, you'll use your relationship, shared life experience, and interpersonal skills to gain their engagement and commitment.

Documentation & Communication


* Communicate effectively with treatment team members, supervisors, and client families.


* Attend required staff meetings and trainings.


* Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications


* At least four years of real-life experience as a parent or primary caregiver and have successfully navigated mental health, probation, child welfare, special education or regional center services for your child


* high school diploma or GED


* Meets all state-required employment conditions, including: DOJ fingerprint and Child Abuse Index clearance, TB/Health physical, Valid CA Driver's License, acceptable driving record, and proof of insurance
