Position Summary

As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and serving meals in accordance with physician-ordered diets, sanitation standards, and resident preferences.

You will work closely with the dietary department to ensure an exceptional dining experience for our residents.
Essential Responsibilities


* Prepare and serve meals according to approved menus, recipes, and dietary requirements.


* Ensure food quality, taste, presentation, and portion control standards are met.


* Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment.


* Follow all food safety, infection control, and sanitation guidelines.


* Assist with food preparation, storage, inventory, and kitchen organization.


* Collaborate with dietary staff and interdisciplinary team members to support resident nutritional needs.


* Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations.

Qualifications


* Previous cooking experience required; healthcare, skilled nursing, or institutional cooking experience preferred.


* Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.


* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.


* Strong organizational and time management skills.


* Positive attitude and commitment to providing excellent service.


* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
