As an Associate Project Manager (Senior Procedure Writer/Editor) in the Commercial Bank Procedures Team, you will manage and enhance the end-to-end process of procedure documentation.
You'll collaborate with business partners and control managers to ensure documents meet compliance standards, are easily accessible, and support operational excellence.
Your work will help maintain audit readiness and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Job Responsibilities
* Manage and prioritize a queue of business-as-usual (BAU) change requests for procedure documents
* Lead the annual attestation and review process for published documents, ensuring compliance and audit readiness
* Apply prescribed templates and style guidelines to maintain consistency and clarity across documentation
* Convert procedures to active voice, incorporate numbered lists and if-then tables for improved usability
* Identify and integrate relevant keywords to optimize document searchability
* Analyze and recommend procedural changes, document updates, and alternative methods to address process gaps
* Secure authorized approvals and finalize documents for publication, ensuring compliance standards are met
* Conduct quality assurance checks and peer reviews to ensure procedural accuracy and adherence to guidelines
* Support document posting and update generation using publishing applications and document management systems
* Facilitate communications regarding procedural changes, including drafting communications and preparing presentations
* Organize and lead monthly meetings with business partners and control managers to discuss trends and process improvements
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
* 3+ years of procedure writing/editing experience, including reformatting detailed procedural documents
* BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience in financial services and procedure writing/editing
* Strong project management skills, with experience overseeing annual review schedules and managing multiple projects
* Proven client relations and presentation skills, including facilitating meetings and supporting procedural communications
* In-depth knowledge of financial services operations, regulatory, and compliance environments
* Advanced editing skills, including converting procedures to active voice and applying external style guides
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, SharePoint, and publishing/document management systems
